📚 Creating a Lorebook

A Lorebook lets you write additional settings for a character as keyword entries and manage them together like a single book.

You can organize information needed in specific situations—such as characters, locations, organizations, events, items, and world rules—into separate Lorebook entries. Once completed, a Lorebook can be selected and applied in a character’s Lorebook settings.

Lorebook content is not shown directly to players. It is used as prompt information that the AI can reference during conversations.

There is no limit to the number of Lorebooks you can create.

A Basic Keyword is a keyword type that automatically loads its associated information when a specific word or phrase is detected in the conversation.

When a registered sub-keyword appears in the previous conversation history or in the player’s current message, the content of the corresponding Basic Keyword entry is included in the full prompt.

This does not newly train the AI. Instead, it adds the relevant information to the prompt when a keyword matches so that the AI can reference it.

• Each Lorebook can contain up to 150 Basic Keyword entries.

• Up to 10 matching Basic Keyword entries can be loaded during a conversation.

• When multiple entries match, they are inserted into the prompt from top to bottom according to the order shown on the Lorebook screen.

• If you change and save the order using Edit Order, the saved order will be applied.

• Basic Keyword sub-keywords are not translated automatically.

Select Create on the Lorebook management page to create a new Lorebook.

Complete the following sections to create a Lorebook.

Enter a name that will help you identify the Lorebook.

The name can contain up to 20 characters and will appear when selecting a Lorebook to apply to a character.

If necessary, select a folder in which to store the Lorebook.

Folders can help you organize Lorebooks by genre, series, or character. You can also create a Lorebook without assigning it to a folder.

A single Basic Keyword entry consists of the following two parts:

• One or more sub-keywords that trigger the content

• Content that the AI references when a keyword matches

Even when multiple sub-keywords are registered, they count as one Basic Keyword entry if they are connected to the same content.

1 Basic Keyword entry

Sub-keywords: Love, Trust, Hope
Content: Information the AI will reference when one of these keywords appears

Each Lorebook can contain up to 150 Basic Keyword entries.

Sub-keywords are words or phrases that trigger the content of a Basic Keyword entry.

Enter a keyword, then press Enter or select Add to register it. Each sub-keyword can contain up to 50 characters.

You can register multiple names, aliases, abbreviations, or other expressions referring to the same subject within a single Basic Keyword entry.

If any of these keywords appears in the conversation, the content connected to the same Basic Keyword entry will be loaded.

If adding sub-keywords one at a time is inconvenient, separate them with | to add them all at once.

After entering the keywords, press Enter or select Add. Each word will be registered as a separate sub-keyword.

Register expressions that players are likely to use during actual conversations.

Sub-keywords are not translated automatically. To trigger the same content in multiple languages, register the necessary keywords for each language manually.

In the Content field, write the information that the AI should reference when a registered sub-keyword is detected in the conversation.

The content of each Basic Keyword entry can contain up to 400 characters. Because this text is not shown directly to players, clearly describe the facts and behavioral guidelines that the AI needs to understand.

Content:

The Goblet of Fire is an ancient chalice sealed with fire magic. When a slip of paper bearing the name of a chosen person is placed inside it, the Goblet releases the name in a burst of blue flame. It is kept in the underground vault of the Royal Academy of Magic, and ordinary students are not permitted to access it.

Keywords:

Arcadia|Royal Capital|Imperial Capital

Content:

Arcadia is the capital of the Lumen Empire. The Imperial Palace and Mages’ Guild are located in the center. The eastern district is reserved for nobles, while the western district is the commercial quarter. A curfew is enforced from midnight until 5:00 a.m.

Select Add at the bottom of the page to create another Basic Keyword entry. Each Lorebook can contain up to 150 Basic Keyword entries.

Use Edit Order to change the order of the entries. When multiple entries match during a conversation, they are inserted into the prompt from the top of the Lorebook to the bottom. If you reorder the entries and save your changes, the new order will be applied.

If you divide one setting across multiple entries, arrange them according to their logical flow and priority so the AI can understand the information naturally.

Up to 10 matching Basic Keyword entries can be loaded during a conversation. If many entries may match at the same time, place the most important information closer to the top.

On the Lorebook management page, you can organize and edit your Lorebooks by folder.

• Select a Lorebook’s name to edit its content.

• The number shown in the list indicates how many Basic Keyword entries are registered in that Lorebook.

• Use the More menu to duplicate or delete a Lorebook.

• Use Create Folder to organize Lorebooks by series or genre.

• There is no limit to the total number of Lorebooks you can create.

Go to the character creation or editing page.

You can select a Lorebook under Basic Information (Profile) → Lorebook Settings. If the Lorebook settings are not visible, enable Expert Mode.

→ Select a Lorebook
→ Save

When a sub-keyword from the applied Lorebook is detected in the conversation, the connected content is included in the prompt for the AI to reference. To remove the Lorebook from the character, select No Lorebook and save your changes.

• Basic Keywords are not translated automatically.

• Keywords that are too general may trigger content in unintended situations.

• If the same information is already included in the character or world settings, check for duplicated or conflicting instructions.

• Editing a Lorebook applied to a published character may affect active players’ conversations. Test your changes thoroughly before applying them.
