How to Caveduck

Caveduck Supports Your Next Story, Too

Choosing the opening line, refining the settings, and chatting again and again to see how a character responds. Every character you meet on Caveduck reflects a creator’s personal taste and care.

Thank you for creating encounters that brighten someone’s day or become stories they remember for years. We hope the care you put into your characters becomes the inspiration and support for your next creation.

The work doesn’t end when you publish a character. As you review conversations and adjust settings, your next character may already be taking shape in your mind. The Creator Program is designed to support that next step. Your earning rate and withdrawal limit vary according to the purchased Wings spent on your characters, and you receive Wings when you reach a new tier for the first time.

The Creator Center is where you can join the Creator Program and view your tier and benefits in one place. Even if you’re publishing your first character, you can start as a Rookie once you meet the application requirements.

  • Before joining: Check whether you meet the application requirements and explore each tier’s benefits.

  • After joining: View your tier, progress toward the next tier, Incentive earning rate, gift fee, monthly withdrawal limit, and first-time achievement rewards.

  • How to access: Log in and go to My → Creator Center.

The new tier-based Incentive earning system takes effect on November 4, 2026, at 00:00 UTC. The existing system will remain in place until then. To earn Incentives under the new system, your participation in the Creator Program must be approved.

You can apply to the standard Creator Program if you meet all the following requirements:

  • You must be logged in with a registered Caveduck account.

  • You must have at least one character first made public within the last six months. Eligibility is based on the first publication date, not the creation date or most recent edit.

  • That character must currently be fully public, and must not be a draft, blocked, or deleted. Private and link-only characters do not meet this requirement.

  • You must have at least one follower other than yourself.

There is no minimum cumulative conversation count or purchased-Wing spending requirement for your first application. Once you’ve published a character and gained your first follower, check your eligibility in the Center.

  1. Go to My → Creator Center.

  2. Under Application Eligibility, check that you meet the requirements for “At least one character first published within the last six months” and “At least one follower other than yourself.”

  3. Select Apply to Become a Creator.

  4. In the “Which language do you mainly use?” window, select your creation language, then select Complete Application. Your characters may be recommended to users who use that language.

  5. Check the approval notification, then view your status and benefits under My Tier.

Applications to the standard program are automatically approved when the requirements are met, and a tier corresponding to your performance is applied.

The new tiers will be assigned based on the preceding three months as of November 4, 2026, at 00:00 UTC. Until then, everyone will appear as a Rookie.

If an existing application shows “Under Review,” you cannot submit another application. If you see an eligibility error, check your public character’s status and first publication date, along with your follower count.

As more stories unfold with your characters, the benefits you can use toward your next creation grow too. Higher tiers bring higher Incentive earning rates and monthly withdrawal limits, along with lower gift fees.

Your tier is determined by Wings spent on conversations with your standard characters over the last three months. The Center displays this performance as “Character Wing Consumption.”

On the first day of each month, your tier is assessed based on paid Wings spent by players chatting with your characters over the preceding three months. Paid Wings you spend yourself are included; Wings received for free are excluded.

Monthly withdrawal limits are measured in Incentives. First-time achievement rewards are paid in Wings. Earning rates vary depending on Original status, so please check which type applies to your character.

From Rising through Star, Wings are awarded the first time you meet each tier’s threshold, under the following rules:

  • Each tier’s first-time achievement reward is awarded once per user, for life.

  • If you advance through multiple tiers at once, you also receive any unclaimed rewards for the tiers in between. For example, if you move from Rookie to Pro without having received either reward, you receive 15,000 Wings: 5,000 for Rising plus 10,000 for Pro.

  • Returning to a tier after a downgrade or reapplying to the program does not grant a reward you have already received.

  • You can check whether a reward is Pending / Paid in the Center’s tier and benefits table. Reward Wings do not count toward purchased-Wing performance.

  • Assessment date: On the first day of each month, the preceding three complete calendar months are assessed using Korean Standard Time (KST). Your tier may rise or fall based on performance.

  • Example assessment period: For the December assessment, the period runs from August 31 at 15:00 UTC up to, but not including, November 30 at 15:00 UTC. Only performance actually collected by the program during this period is included.

  • Eligible performance: Purchased Wings spent on standard character conversations are counted, with performance canceled by refunds for those conversations deducted. Purchased Wings you spend chatting with your own characters are also included.

  • When tracking begins: Eligible performance is collected while your standard Creator status is active. Spending before applying, while your application is pending, while your status is expired, or before the new performance tracking began is not counted retroactively.

  • Initial assessment: If less than three months of performance has been collected, the available period is assessed as it stands. Assessment is not postponed until three months have passed, and performance from a shorter period is not extrapolated to three months.

The progress shown in the Center reflects your latest finalized monthly assessment. It is not a real-time figure that immediately includes Wings spent today. Before your first assessment, you may appear as a Rookie with 0% progress.

Standard Creators’ tiers are not visible to other users. Create at your own pace and check your next goal whenever you’re ready.

Conversations, album image unlocks, snapshot creation, and viewing paid story episodes earn Incentives only when users spend Wings they purchased with money. The earning method differs by content type.

  • Conversations: Incentives are calculated as purchased Wings actually spent × the applicable earning rate. The rate varies according to the character’s Original status and the creator’s current tier and status.

  • Album image unlocks, snapshot creation, and viewing paid story episodes: Each feature earns a fixed Incentive amount, rather than an amount calculated using the earning rate for the creator’s tier.

Conversation example: If 100 eligible purchased Wings are spent in a conversation with a Rookie creator’s Original character, the creator earns 7 Incentives. For a Non-Original character, they earn 5 Incentives.

  • Free Wings and Feathers do not generate Incentives.

  • Purchased Wings you spend in conversations with your own characters are also eligible to generate Incentives.

  • Monetization exclusions remain in place. Qualification for tier performance and qualification for Incentive earnings are separate criteria.

  • After the new policy takes effect, you will not earn new content Incentives during periods when you lack standard Creator status or it has expired. Your previously earned Incentive balance remains intact.

For the fixed amounts for each feature and detailed eligibility conditions, see the Caveduck Incentive Guide.

  • Gift fees depend on the receiving creator’s current status and tier, not the sender’s tier.

  • The monthly withdrawal limit caps the Incentives you can withdraw, not the Incentives you can earn.

  • Withdrawals remain subject to existing requirements, including your available balance, identity verification, withdrawal account, and the limit of one application per month. Check the withdrawal screen for the amount you can request.

The Creator Program is designed to support the ongoing publication of new characters. Monthly assessments also check whether you have an eligible, fully public character first published within the last six months. If you do not, your standard Creator status expires.

You can reapply when you’re ready to resume creating.

  1. Create a new character after your most recent status expiration and make it fully public.

  2. Meet the application requirements again, including first publication within the last six months, an eligible public status, and at least one follower other than yourself.

  3. Select your creation language in the Creator Center and apply again.

You need the new standard Creator status to receive the new program’s benefits. Existing creator permissions do not automatically grant the new status. Please check your current status and applicable benefits in the Center.

Check that you’re logged in with a registered account and meet both the public-character and follower requirements. You cannot submit a new application if you’re already participating or have a pending application. If your status has expired before, you need a character newly created after that expiration. In the language selection window, you must select a creation language before you can select “Complete Application.”

Progress is displayed based on finalized monthly assessments. Performance that will count toward the next assessment may differ from the figures currently shown. Also check whether the Wings are excluded, such as free Wings, and whether they were purchased Wings spent on standard conversations after approval while your status was active.

You can reapply once you meet the requirements again. After your standard status expires, follow the new-character creation and publication requirements above.

The time spent carefully considering a single setting, and the anticipation of a character’s first response, all bring new stories to Caveduck. Whether you’re just starting out or have spent years nurturing a world of your own, we hope you can keep creating the stories you love.

Caveduck will be here to help the characters you’ve crafted with care support your next creation.
